User Info: Pinatalover. There are rumors that chao can live to 7. User Info: Levykid3. Top Voted Answer. It takes hours for a chao to evolve User Info: sifheadsrule It takes a few hours or so for the first evolution; I haven't had a reincarnation yet, but I believe they occur after Chao years, which is approximately hours in real time.
Sorry I don't have a definitive answer. Well it depends on the amount of time you spend in the chao garden. When chao become 4 they either reincarnate or die depending how you treat them. This is where the other stat, times reincarnated, comes in. It simply shows how many times your chao has reincarnated. The final stat is the morality stat.
You can affect this stat by giving your chao different fruits. There are a few hidden stats, however these will be covered in more detail in the documentation section. First lets describe the list of states your chao can occupy.
Your chao can occupy a combination of one chao type, and one emotion. If you leave it alone, it will hatch in about one minute. However, you can make it hatch faster. If you throw it, it will hatch immediately, however your chao will be born angered. If you wish to bring a happy chao into the world, you can rock the egg back and forth. This will make the egg hatch only slightly faster but rock it enough and the chao will be born with a good amount of starting happiness note that every action you or your chao makes takes some time to do.
In other words, you may not do anything while another action is currently being executed. If your chao is neither very happy, nor frustrated, it will simply be content. If its happiness is low, it will have a swirling tornado above its head, indicating it is frustrated. Now that your chao is hatched, you may perform several actions with it.
You can pet it or pick it up and rock it to increase its happiness. If you throw it, it will become a lot less happy and healthy. They are set to a value greater than and less than , determined by the formula:.
Much like other stat grades, the grade is an integer value starting at 0 for each Chao. The upper limit for the lifespan grade is not known. Unlike other grades, lifespan grades not determined by genetics ; a child Chao's parents' RL values have no bearing on the child's RL values. After reincarnation a Chao's new set of RL values will generally be set to the same values it had when first born.
However, if reincarnation is triggered while the Chao has a Lifespan2 above 0 which may happen for unknown reasons its new lifespan will be determined by the formula:. And for adult Chao, every few minutes RL2 decreases by 6 or 7. The purpose of RL1 is unknown. In summary of these values, feeding fruit to a child Chao will prolong its life, by roughly 2 minutes per bite.
An adult Chao will have roughly 29 hours of life before dying or reincarnating, assuming its RL values are when born. And, rather unintuitively, since RL2 only begins decreasing for adult Chao, an earlier evolution will decrease overall lifespan by a fairly small amount. The "Age" at the Chao Doctor is Clock Rollovers divided by 60, where a Chao will become age 1 when it has experienced 60 Clock Rollovers, and age 2 when it has gone through Clock Rollovers.
Clock Rollovers increment every time the Chao "Grows" magnitude increases, lifespan changes, etc.
